Fremont homeowner finds missing Ballard dog

After more than ten days, Boo-boo the former rescue dog from Ballard has been found safe in Fremont.

Boo-boo’s owner, Kathryn, called us this morning to tell us the news. She says a homeowner in Fremont went to investigate after their Dachshund kept going to the back corner of their lot. Curled up in the corner was Boo-boo.

A very relieved Kathryn says the homeowner held a cell phone up so Boo-boo could hear her voice, and the dog’s ears perked up. Boo-boo is being taken to the vet for some scratches, but Kathryn doesn’t think the dog has any major injuries.

Boo-boo first went missing more than ten days ago near the intersection of 8th Ave NW and NW Market after she got spooked and broke off her tie. Kathryn posted a Craigslist announcement for people to be on the lookout for the dog who was wearing a Seattle dog license and is microchipped. She says the dog is very shy and nervous around new people, which Kathryn believes is because Boo-boo was rescued from a hoarder’s home when she was nine-months old.
