In the neighborhood that brought you the popular Paseo, a new sandwich shop called Homegrown has opened its doors on Fremont Ave. N.
And like Paseo, it’s been busy. “Our goal at Homegrown is not only to create sandwiches out of sustainable ingredients but also to make sandwich creation sustainable itself,” explains the website. A few of the sandwiches on the menu: the blackened cod, flank steak, South Carolina-style smoked pork and the farmers market veggie. They also have soups and salads.
