This Sunday the Fremont Historical Society will host an informal reception at the Fremont Library from 1:30-3:00 pm.

The event recognizes the current wall display for Women’s History Month which “includes information on women in the military in general but focuses on Major Coralee Steele, who was born and raised in Fremont, and served as the Chief Nurse of the Seattle-based 50th General Hospital during World War II.” Special guest and veteran Jake Sullivan will be in attendance to share his recollections as a private who worked the night shift in the same hospital as Major Coralee Steel and knew of her “from afar.”

Monday and Tuesday:  1 pm to 8 pm
Wednesday and Thursday:  11 am to 6 pm
Friday:  closed
Saturday: 11 am to 6 pm
