Ballard’s first recreational marijuana store the Herb House began selling recreational marijuana last month on NW 65th. Here is the full story from our sister site My Ballard:
The first recreational 502 marijuana store is about to open in our neighborhood in the current location of medical marijuana establishment Herbs House (716 NW 65th).
Herbs House has been in operation as a Medical Marijuana Collective since September 2013 and is now making the move into the recreational market.
“As a lady entrepreneur I’m thrilled to create an environment where even my mother can feel comfortable accessing cannabis. I’m grateful for my position in our community and I look forward to giving back,” says owner Sharon Jacobson.
Herbs House is set to offer high quality recreational products including a wide variety of organics, paraphernalia and locally crafted glass pipes.
The Herbs House Café will continue to offer customers its well-known infused water and free coffee in a relaxed welcoming environment.
Looking towards the future, Jacobson is hoping to reopen the Medical Collective and café with its new recreational shop all in the same location.
The combination of the medicinal and recreational marijuana and café under the same roof is currently in the approval process with the Liquor Control Board. “In the meantime, Herbs House looks forward to serving Ballard with the finest recreational cannabis products the Northwest has to offer,” says Jacobson.
