We always enjoy new art in Fremont and Brooks Running gets credit for the latest addition which debuted last fall:
The Medalist is created from race metals that runners from all around the world sent in to the company. Located outside the Brooks Trailhead store on Stone Way the new statue may be reminiscent of Mystique it depicts a runner and represents the achievements of all the races and runners who contributed. There are a lot of miles and stories for each of those medals. You can see the Medalist from the Burke-Gilman Trail as well if you happen to be running by.
