Wednesday

Summer Movie Night

7pm, West of Lenin (203 N 36th St)

$5 admission, $2 popcorn

Calimari Union’ by Richard Lefebvre with short ‘Empress of the North’ a Moondoggies video by Drew Christie. This summer, in association with Northwest Film Forum and Ripple Productions, West of Lenin launches a film series spotlighting independent and local filmmakers.

“The Hall of Giants chronicles the creation and endurance of the much beloved Fremont Troll and explores the public art movement in Seattle and beyond. Through interviews and hundreds of rare photographs and archival footage, viewers will take an historical journey through Seattle’s earliest years and on up to the present, where art and artists still struggle to survive in an ever-changing city.” The Seattle Times

Foraged Flavor, Tama Matsuoka Wong – Author Talk
6:30pm, Book Larder (4252 Fremont Ave N)

Finding Fabulous Ingredients In Your Backyard or Farmer’s Market’, Wong helps us discover delicious edible plants growing everywhere. Book signing. Renee Erickson (of The Walrus And The Carpenter and Boat Street Cafe), will prepare tastes that highlight the flavors of the book.

Sign up begins at 7pm. Performers have up to a 15-minute set Cost: $3
