A look around the neighborhood to catch some of the stories falling through the cracks…

Reminder, Geocaching.com is hosting a Geocaching Block Party in Fremont tomorrow. It takes place from 11am – 3pm and kicks off in the Solstice Plaza (701 N 34th St, Latitude 47.64864 Longitude 122.348927).

Another reminder, Ignite Seattle and ThingOut! are Saturday as well. Over by the Fremont Outdoor Movies lot, the ThingOut Festival begins at 5pm while Ignite Seattle opens its doors at 7pm and talks begin at 8pm.

The Seattle Weekly stops by Norm’s for some fish & chips and a cold beer and comes away wishing they’d brought their dog with them.

Maximus Minumus, the pig-shaped truck that spends many a Sunday at the Fremont Sunday Market, is in USA Today as one of the ten great places to buy food off a truck. There are also rumors that the pig purveyor is looking for a brick and mortar location and Fremont is in the mix.

A famous Seattle statue has brought tourists, the Lenny Scoop, and controversy to Fremont. The one thing missing is an offer.
