All these late spring showers have spread the weeding season out. So the Friends of Fremont Peak Park are looking for help in keeping the park weed-free. And they’ve got some incentives to make it fun.
On Sunday, July 17, between 10am and 1pm they’ll be hosting a “weeding party.” Tools and coffee will be provided, all you need to bring is your water bottle, any snacks and a volunteer spirit to help keep your local park looking great.
?If interested, RSVP to info@FremontPeakPark.org so they can keep track of how many volunteers are coming. Feel free to invite friends as well, just make sure you contact the FoFPP beforehand.
You can also adopt a spot in the park and work that area whenever is convenient for you, a great excuse to hang out in your park. See the Fremont Peak Park site for more information.
The Friends of Fremont Peak Park (FoFPP) is a non-profit, neighborhood-based, volunteer organization dedicated to the creation and stewardship of Fremont Peak Park.
