Thought it might be a good time to check in with two of Fremont’s most-anticipated new stores.

In Upper Fremont/Fremont Village/Whatever You Call It, Miles James is bringing his spin on the butcher shop to town with Dot’s Delicatessen. Originally slated for a spring opening, James told us he “trying to be open before the Fourth of July” but wasn’t 100% sure. In the meantime, it looks like they’re hard at work getting the place ready.

Meanwhile in Lower Fremont/Regular, Old Fremont/Whatever You Call It, coffee-lovers are eagerly anticipating the arrival of Milstead & Company. According to a June 6th update on Twitter, owner Andrew Milstead hopes to have the shop open for business “early to mid July.”

Stay tuned and keep your appetite for fine meats and good coffee in check.
