Seattle Weekly’s New Food Critic Revels In Revel

How many “revel in Revel” headlines will there be by Seattle media and blogs over the years? Hundreds? Thousands? Just remember where you saw it first (unless you’ve already seen it, which is a distinct possibility).

Hanna Raskin took over as the Seattle Weekly’s resident food critic last week and her first order of business for the paper was to review Fremont’s recently-opened Revel. Apparently, Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi’s bistro really is a Seattle hotspot already:

Nearly every local food shark and friend-of-friend I rang up for a Seattle orientation session parried with a variation on the same suggestion: Can we meet at Revel?

Raskin seems to come away impressed for the most part, calling Revel “gutsy, unexpected, and nonchalantly delicious.” If you’re thinking of heading over this weekend, better get there early.
