If you’re a fan of art, walking and Fridays, today’s your favorite day of the month. It’s time for the March Fremont First Friday Artwalk.

Tons of different exhibits, shows and in-person events to be checked out. Here’s a sampling…

509 Winery and Tasting Room – Seattle’s Urban Winery (1300 N Northlake Way) – Dan Baumfeld, Illustrations
Live music by The Jelly Rollers, and Pai’s mobile food truck will be serving Hawaiian fare in the parking lot.  Wine for $5/glass (or 5/$20).  This is a great place to start your evening and then work your way around to the other galleries.

Fremont Brewing Co. (3409 Woodland Park Ave N.) – Ethan Bickel, Photography
Like so many Americans, Ethan Bickel spent a lot of his childhood riding in cars: accompanying parents and siblings on daily errands, weekend drives to visit grandparents, and summer roads trips up and down the East Coast.  A longtime resident Seattle, Ethan makes works as and Landscape and Interior Designer. He studied Printmaking and Photography at the Hartford Art School and Landscape Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design.

Pel’Meni Dumpling Tzar (3516 Fremont Pl N) – David Oliver, Illustrations
This month we pay tribute to a great artist and friend. David Oliver passed away a year ago, but his legacy lives on through his art. We will be showcasing some limited edition poster prints, which will also be for sale. All proceeds go to an education fund for his two children. So come join us, we will have music, drinks, and, of course, dumplings!  (Dumplings will be $1 off during the art walk.)
