A man was brutally beaten by two robbers last week in Fremont.  Officers were called to the 800 block of N. 43rd Street around 6:45pm last Wednesday (11/3).  The victim told police he was on N. 43rd and Aurora when two men walked up and asked him what time it was.  When he looked at his phone to check the time, he was suddenly knocked to the ground.  The two men then kicked him about 6 times in the head, back, legs and chest.  The robbers stole the man’s phone and backpack.  You can read the full police report below.

On 11/03/2010 at 1852 hours, I was dispatched to 8 N 43 St for a
strong-arm robbery.
I arrived and V/ told me the following: He was at the corner of N 43
St and Aurora Av N when the two suspects came up to him and asked him what
time it was. One suspect was a tall bald black male, about 45 years old,
and wearing a brown Carhart jacket. The second suspect was a black male,
about 5’9, medium build, 30-40 years old, and wearing a blue and white
jacket. V/ looked at his phone to see what time it was, and was
knocked to the ground by the suspects. The suspects kicked him about 6
times in the head, back, legs, and chest. The suspects took his gray Page
Plus flip phone, and his purple backpack, which has a pink stripe on it.
The backpack had medical supplies in it including ,
. The suspects were last seen westbound on N
Motor Pl.
V/ declined to see medics and had no visible injuries expect for a
bleeding knuckle on his right hand. V/ has never seen the suspects
before.
I had dispatch try to contact the complainant on this call, but the
complainant said he was out of the area and wanted to cancel the call.
There were no other witnesses.
Officers were unable to locate the suspects on an area check.
