Fremont will soon have a little more room to play.  The City Council has unanimously approved the purchase of the vacant property west of Ernst Park  at 719 N. 35th Street.  The site will be used for open space, park, and recreational activities.  The Council increased the appropriations to the Parks Department by $800,000 to purchase the land, all of which comes from the Parks Levy Fund approved by voters.
