Home ransacked during burglary

A family’s home was ransacked during a burglary.  It happened last Tuesday (5/25) between 8:30am and 7pm in the 4200 block of 5th Ave NW.  A woman got home from work to find her front door open.  The burglar or burglars got in by breaking the back door and kitchen door.  A neighbor saw a teenager go into the back yard earlier in the day, but assumed it was the boyfriend of the daughter who lives there.  It turns out, that wasn’t the case.  Some of the stolen items include jewelry, cash, and a camera.
