It’s not too late to register for the Second Annual “Randomly Occurring” Fremont/Ballard Tech Fair, which begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Lake Washington Rowing Club, 910 N Northlake Way.

In this symposium presented by the Ballard and Fremont Chamber of Commerce, the focus is on seminars that solve storage problems (and we don’t mean pods!). LeftHand, a modular system that actually gets faster the larger the deployment – great for 10TB to 1.5PB (Petabytes) – will speak on iSCSI solutions to expanding data needs. Nautilusnet will present a seminar about “Greening” your Datacenter, sponsored by Microsoft. Finally, LSI will present SVSP SAN virtualization. If you already have a SAN or two, this might be helpful for you. SVSP will allow single pane management of multiple fiber SANs and allows brand agnostic management of mixed environments.

Prizes will be given throughout the day, including Microsoft Office 2007, 2 CiRBA Datacenter Analyses (for businesses with 25+ servers, max $7500 value) and two HP netbooks. (HP is the event’s major sponsor. Dante’s Inferno Dogs will be feeding attendees.)
