Who were those runners in red?

A group of runners wearing an array of eye-catching red outfits were spotted running through Fremont on Saturday afternoon.  Fremont Universe reader hey hey posted this in the forum:

It wasn’t until I saw runners in red (and wearing some pretty funny stuff at that) that I remembered that tomm is SAD (apparently in my late 20s I have to be reminded of such holidays–haha). I saw them running southbound on Fremont Ave N across the Fremont Bridge as I was walking north. From what they were saying, it looked like they were going to the Nick St Saloon. Was it a fundraiser? A fun run? Or just a bunch of friends being goofy?

Baxxy also noticed the runners in the neighborhood:

I saw them running up my street (41st) as well, around 3pm. Someone suggested they’re a part of the Queen Anne scavenger hunt, but the group was way too large and there were no bikes or roller skates.

The group could have been left over from the Love ’em or Leave ’em Valentine’s Day Dash that took place at Green Lake in the morning.  If anyone knows who those runners were or what was going on, post it in the comments below…
