This Saturday, February 13, Cameron Catering is hosting a bake sale in their space at 4216 6th Ave NW to help children in Haiti. The “Hearts for Haiti” fundraiser will feature pastries, tarts, cookies and other sweet treats for sale from local professional catering companies including Cameron, Seattle Catering, Nielsen’s Pastries and Kaspars. Savory eats will be available from Kaosamai’s food truck.
Chef Suzanne Cameron says the bake sale is their way of trying to help by doing what they do best. She says, “When there’s a crisis, I make food.” All the proceeds from sales of goodies will go to help CARE, Save the Children and Doctors Without Borders. There will even be a “Make Your Own Valentine” station where kids can get creative to make cards. The bake sale takes place from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
