The brand-new Hard Rock Cafe Seattle (116 Pike St) opened its doors downtown today and they’re looking for local musicians who embody Seattle’s live music scene.

The Cafe’s second-floor venue has a 400-person capacity, video screens, and a state-of-the-art concert sound and lighting system.  There are three opportunities for local talent – both established or emerging – to be seen and heard:

Nightly Live Music

Hard Rock Seattle’s venue will host live music three to four nights per week, with a focus on weekends. Hard Rock is looking to book local, regional and national touring artists in the space.  Hard Rock embraces a tremendous variety of artists across all genres.  From grunge to blues to reggae to pop to R&B to punk to country and everything in between, the Cafe will work with both iconic and emerging artists and intends to be a vital part of the thriving Seattle music scene.

Monthly Residency Program

Tuesday nights will play host to something Seattle hasn’t seen in a while…monthly residencies. Artists will play shows at Hard Rock every Tuesday for a month. This will be an opportune time for labels to showcase newly signed artists, or for bands to rehearse new material and build their local fan base.

All Ages Sunday Matinee Shows

Sunday afternoons at Hard Rock will cater to rockers of all ages.  Parents will be able to bring their families and young adults under 21 can enjoy music in an authentic rock ‘n’ roll environment.

Any bands or solo acts who want to be considered for booking should send links to your web site, MySpace and/or links to MP3s.  They request that you do not send large MP3s as attachments.  Other helpful information artists can include is:

  • Style of music
  • Previous venues played in town
  • What the draw was in these venues
  • Who you’ve played with before
  • Any positive press you may have received

Music submissions are currently being accepted for the live music venue.  Anyone interested can send materials to Amy Bauer at amy_bauer@hardrock.com.
