The longest night of the year, Winter Solstice, is this weekend and Friends of Fremont Peak Park are once again celebrating with a procession of lights and music.  Everyone is invited to join the parade or watch and enjoy on Sunday, December 20 at 4 p.m.

Anyone interested in participating in the light procession should attend a brief practice at Fremont Peak Park (4357 Palatine Ave N) tomorrow, December 19, at 4 p.m.  Volunteers can help decorate the park on Sunday at 11 a.m.  Donations of cookies and warm beverages are welcome for Sunday’s festivities, as are berries and pine cones for decorations.  For more information, go to Friends of Fremont Peak Park’s website or email info@fremontpeakpark.org.
