The longest night of the year, Winter Solstice, is this weekend and Friends of Fremont Peak Park are once again celebrating with a procession of lights and music. Everyone is invited to join the parade or watch and enjoy on Sunday, December 20 at 4 p.m.

Anyone interested in participating in the light procession should attend a brief practice at Fremont Peak Park (4357 Palatine Ave N) tomorrow, December 19, at 4 p.m. Volunteers can help decorate the park on Sunday at 11 a.m. Donations of cookies and warm beverages are welcome for Sunday’s festivities, as are berries and pine cones for decorations.
