More than 400 people gathered at Fremont Studios this morning for a chance to win singer Katy Perry’s car.
The drawing brought an end to a summer-long contest put on by KISS-FM that began in June.
184 hopefuls from across Western Washington waited for more than an hour for the chance to pick the key that would let them drive away with a brand-new convertible VW bug.
After a half-hour of one failed key after another, it was Ebbeni Moen’s lucky day. At the last minute, though, it was her just-turned-16-year-old daughter Breanna who actually did the honors. Breanna laughed as she told the crowd afterwards, “Yeah, I need a new one. I have a crack in my window.”
Soon after the drawing, Katy Perry quickly left to perform at Bumbershoot.
