A suspect is in the King County Jail this morning for investigation of assault after a stabbing in Fremont last night.

Residents (above) watch as police surrounded an apartment at the 3600 block of 2nd Ave NW around 11:15 p.m. Police say the suspect fled into the building armed with two large knives. The SWAT team used a patrol car’s PA system to tell the suspect to surrender. The suspect exited the apartment and was arrested without incident. Two other individuals who were in the apartment also came out at the police request. Neighbors tell us that the suspect was stabbed in the arm. He was treated at Swedish Ballard.
