Help jail birds raise bail for MDA

By master · March 25th, 2009 · 6 Comments

Business owners, community leaders and citizens are being arrested today and you can help bail them out of jail. Today is the Ballard and Fremont “Lock-up” to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Jailbirds are being locked up at The Ballroom in Fremont and have until 2 p.m. to raise $2000 bail. If you haven’t received an email or don’t get a phone call looking for help, you can always stop by and give a donation. You can also send money to the MDA District office at 701 Dexter Ave. N. #106, Seattle, WA 98109. Money raised today will help send kids to the MDA summer camp “Week of Dreams.”

They should keep the jail intact to better serve The Ballroom’s weekend clientele.

This is the first that I've heard about this. Is it new?

Anyone else find it interesting that this news nugget comes right after the “big brawl” nugget? Oh the duality of The Ballroom…

Just released, thanks to all who bailed me out.
I must say, the ballroom, the staff, are all great.
Let's hope that they nip this bad rep in the bud.
btw, if you see anything happening there that ain't right?
Do them (and the rest of us) a favor, don't put up with it!
If Chopper 74 catches you 'tagging' the bathroom, your momma won't recognize you.

I thought you said you weren't going to go to The Ballroom (last posting). *gentle elbow to the ribs*

I was arrested, and carted, kicking and screaming 😉
Thanks to the SFD for their continued support of MDA
