“The Fremont Lenin has long needed a poem,” writes the Poetess at Green Lake, A.K. Allin, so she’s organizing a poetry contest. You may have seen the posters promoting it around the neighborhood.
The winner’s poem will be cast in bronze and celebrated with a “public pouring” at the Lenin statue on the Fourth of July. “All ages, languages and genres accepted, but plaque-sized please, bronze ain’t cheap,” she explains. More details here on her website, and good luck!
