While Fremont usually has its fair share of break-ins and other non-violent crime, like any neighborhood, it also seems to have some good Samaritans, as well.
Duo PR on 1st Avenue NW has reported on its blog a very welcome recurrence:
Every few days or so a new potted plant or new statue has materialized without a trace of who put it there- or in some cases, nailed it there. It was just recently that the case was cracked, when a midnight gardener was spotted hanging his verdant treasures in the dark. Equipped with his own tools, his own hose and his own plants, we are plagued with curiosity as to how many impromptu gardens this man can claim around the Fremont neighborhood.
